Google Reader
Google Reader is a free RSS reader which you have access to when you set up a Google account. It enables you to track your favourite blogs which you are interested in by simply adding the RSS feeds from those blogs to your reader.
You will find that static websites do not have a feed whereas a blog is regularly updated so you can expect fresh content in your reader every time you log in.
Google Reader is not the only reader available but you will find some nifty features, which I will write about in a future post, that the other readers do not have. Let me show you how it looks.
Google Reader
When you are signed into your Google account, you will see the sidebar to the left is displaying the home page with the subscription to the SEO Zodiac site. When you have subscribed to several sites, your home page will show a digest of the most frequently updated blogs you have in your list.
How to Subscribe to a Blog
As you can see directly underneath the Google Reader logo, there is a button which enables you to add a subscription. Simply by clicking on that button and typing in a URL of the blog you wish to add will find the feed for you. The URL looks this http://seozodiac.com/
RSS icon
Another way to add feeds to your reader is to visit the site and look for the RSS icon usually found at the top of the page. If the site does not have an RSS icon and you happen to be using your Firefox browser, look for the RSS icon in the address bar. Clicking this icon will direct you to adding the feed to your reader as long as you are signed into your account with Google.
As you begin to add feeds the list of subscriptions at the bottom of the sidebar grows too. One suggestion is to group your feeds and make folders for them so that you have SEO sites in one folder, Social Media sites in another, Internet Marketing in another folder and so on. Depending on your interests, your folders will vary.
I know once you know how to use Google Reader you will find it a very useful tool for your Internet Marketing.

Hi Dragon,
I love Google Reader and I’ve found that I do actually get a little traffic from it. The only mistake I make with Google Reader is that I often add more feeds to blogs I find interesting than I have time to read.
The other thing I really like is that I get to see what my friends find interesting. Again, the power of Google Reader is in the sharing and the backlinks. If I share my friends work; just maybe they’ll share mine.
